After an evening of cocktails in San Diego, a woman got into the back of an Uber for a ride home. She was so intoxicated she had to ask the driver to stop so she could vomit. She says she then passed out in the backseat. When she regained consciousness, the Uber driver was on top of her, raping her, a block from her home, according to the police report and two sources familiar with the investigation. She was able to escape and dial 911.Police later arrested the Uber driver, John David Sanchez, 54. When they searched his computer, they found videos of Sanchez raping women and abusing young teenagers, dating back at least five years.In November, Sanchez was sentenced to 80 years in prison for the rape of the Uber passenger and 33 other counts against him, including sexual assaults of at least nine other women and children. An 11-year-old girl has been reunited with her family after suffering domestic abuse from her guardian in Asaba, Delta state, Nigeria. The girl was rescued after a well-meaning Nigerian saw bruises all over her body and raised alarm. She was seen last Friday with injuries on her head and all over her body. She also looked malnourished and the good Samaritan was moved to reach out to her. When questioned, she broke down in tears and revealed that she lives with her aunt who beats and starves her. She also said she wants to go back to her parents in Warri but doesn’t know how to find her way home. When asked where her parents live, she couldn’t give an address but said they live in Warri. She gave her mother’s name as Rebecca and her father’s as Isaac. She said she was tired of living with her aunt and would rather die than continue suffering abuse. Brenda Barattin i, the Argentine woman accused of cutting off her boyfriend’s penis with gardening scissors said she was provoked because he showed his friends their homemade sex tape. The 26-year-old Barattini, allegedly committed the revenge attack in the Nueva Cordoba area of the Argentine city of Cordoba last November, which left her 40-year-old boyfriend with 90 percent of his penis chopped off, and in life-threatening condition. Barattini, who is serving imprisonment without bail ahead of her trial, said she suffered great psychological harm because of the leaked tape by her boyfriend Sergio Fernandez.  “I cut his penis but not completely: I injured him. It has been reported that a deaf Kenyan couple that dated for over a year through text messages got married last weekend in a wedding ceremony that was presided over by a deaf pastor. According to report, William Mwaura, 29, and Phyllis Wawira 28, got married at Kang’eng’u ACK church in Kandara Constituency, Murang’a, Kenya on Saturday after a one and half years of courtship. Their wedding which featured a deaf priest, deaf couple and deaf bridesmaids, attracted a huge crowd who were packed at the wedding venue to witness the rare ceremony. The bride and bridegroom’s parents and villagers were able to follow the proceedings of the wedding through an interprter. Police through the Flying Squad Unit have arrested a 19-year-old girl, Peace Ansimiire, daughter of Bishop Fred Muhwezi of West Ankole Diocese, Uganda, for faking her own kidnap. In a statement, police says Ansimire, in connivance with her 22-year-old boyfriend, Julius Atwebembire allegedly faked her kidnap so as to defraud her parents of Shs 3.5 million. They reportedly intended to use the ‘ransom money’ to start a craft shoes business in Kenya and later get married when they have amassed enough funds from their business. Police using a tracking system and bait money of Shs 750,000, were able to trace Ansimiire’s whereabouts. She was found living freely with her boyfriend in Kasubi, Rubaga Division in Kampala. According to police, the suspects were only found with Shs 250,000 of the Shs 750,000 which had been sent as a deposit for the ransom money. A Math teacher who taught gifted middle school students in Brooklyn was arrested on Wednesday and charged with sexually abusing a boy at the Brooklyn middle school where he worked.   Andre Braddy, 34, was arrested at Lenox Academy – a magnet school for talented middle schoolers – in Canarsie, Brooklyn. It is alleged that the Math teacher had sex with a 15-year-old boy inside the school’s bathroom. This went on for at least a month. He allegedly had sex with the teen three times and sent him lewd pictures.   The boy reportedly told one of his parents about the encounters with the teacher, and the police were called, leading to Braddy’s arrest last Wednesday evening. Three people are dead after children found and played with an unexploded mortar in Afghanistan on Sunday, provincial authorities said. A mother, her daughter and another girl died when the mortar detonated in the Sorkhrod district of Nangarhar Province, the Nangarhar authority media office said.Eight other people were injured, including two girls, it said. Three US Marines have been charged with sexual assault in a case involving a Tulane University student and her friend in New Orleans, according to court documents from the Parish of Orleans in Louisiana. Lance Corporal Alexander Davenport, 20, was charged with two counts of first-degree rape; Lance Corporal Jared Anderson, 18, was charged with one count of first-degree rape; and Private First Class Antonio Landrum, 18, was charged with one count of third-degree rape. According to police affidavits, the two women told police they went to a New Orleans bar on April 14, became intoxicated and left the bar April 15 with a man later identified as Landrum.
