The Leader of the Great Divine church international,Apostle lsaac Appiah, has cautioned the leaders of Ghana to be fair in the enforcement of the law against offenders else a civil war will soon overtake the country. Pastor arrested for selling tickets to heaven for GHC 2,500 (photo)

It has just been reported that a clergy man in Zimbabwe, Pastor Tito Watts and his wife, Amanda, were arrested for selling tickets to heaven to church members. According to Egypt Today, the police disclosed that he pastor and his partner scammed several people into buying the tickets for $500 (GHC2,500). It was added that, the tickets is to get people into heaven without facing judgements. The police further disclosed that Pastor Watts church members have called for the release of the man of God. Watts reportedly told those who sought salvation that the tickets were made from solid gold and each ticket reserved the buyer a place in heaven. Pastor Watts said: “I don’t care what the police say. Four arrested over alleged ‘rape to death’ of plantain chips seller

Four people, including a middle-aged woman, have been picked up by the Buokrom police over the death of a 37-year-old plantain chips seller. Naomi Opoku, described by many as a habitual drunkard is believed to have been raped to death after a bout of drinking in a bar at Buokrom Limex Quarry suburb on Saturday, December 30. Her body was found lying supine in the area the following day. But preliminary police investigations reveal the body of the deceased was dumped in the street after the act. The four suspects were arrested on Monday and they are currently assisting the police in their investigations. Police sources say the deceased who went hawking plantain chips in the vicinity but got drunk at the usual drinking spot she frequents. She was helped into a room in the house that also houses the drinking spot by two siblings living there. Smartphone & Computer users to pay TV Licence – GBC Boss Dr Akuffo Annor-Ntow The Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Dr. Akuffo Annor-Ntow, expects the collection of TV licenses to extend to persons who consume Television content via mobile devices and applications. Speaking to Citi News following the setting up of a special TV Licence Court to deal with TV license fee defaulters, he said “ultimately, the laws will extend to those who consume that content on mobile applications.” “The fact that you are consuming it on a mobile application doesn’t mean the content is not being paid for or it’s not being generated by somebody. Transport Fares To Increase Transportation fares could increase soon, despite stability in fuel prices as the Ghana Private Roads and Transport Union (GPRTU) reviews its fare computations. The umbrella body of commercial drivers is to rope in the prices of spare parts among others into its fare computations. According to the Union, drivers over the years have to bear with increase in spare parts as there is no avenue to transfer some of the cost to passengers.
