Parliament to summon ‘disrespectful’ TOR over unaccounted financials

The Energy Committee of Parliament has hinted it will soon order the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) to appear before the house to give account of its operations after declining earlier invitations. Ranking Member of the Committee, Adam Mutawakilu, disclosed the committee has not been able to look at TOR’s 2017 financial statements because the company have consistently turned down the committee’s invitations. He said the committee is clothed with the powers of a high court and “soon, we will have to subpoena them to appear before the committee so that we will be able to look at their financials”. He observed TOR is riddled with issues that need to be addressed but would not honour the committee’s invitations. “Upon several invitations for them to appear, 2018, two invitations they had declined to appear, but you will all bear with me that issues in the social media and in the public is not good for TOR”, he said. Man Dies Whilst Having S*x with a Goat

A Middle aged man in his early 30’s is reported dead whilst haven a sexual encounter with a goat at a small village named Nipa Nye Dua along the Nzima_Elubo major road. The bizarre news has shocked residents who described the incident as barbaric and inhuman. The incident is reported to have happened in the early hours of Friday 31 August, 2018 when the sound of the goat crying was heard emanating from the deceased room. First Sea Wave Electric Plant To Be Constructed In Ada

Ghana’s energy sector is set to receive a major boost, withthe signing of a contract for the construction of the first wave energy plant in Ghana, near Ada in the Greater Accraregion. According to TC’s Energy, a Ghanaian renewable energy production company, the 100 Megawatt wave plant, whendelivered in 24 months, will be one of the largest wave energy projects in the world.
