Extend school feeding programs to all JHS – Hon Daniel Owusu Brempong to Government The constituency secretary for NDC of Berekum west district in the Brong Ahafo region, Hon Daniel Owusu Brempong has stated that, the introduction of school feeding programs into schools was a nice policy by former President John Agyekum kuffour administration. According to Hon Daniel Owusu Brempong, the school feeding programs starts from KG to class Six and also continued from SHS one to SHS three whereby JHS students are being neglected. He further said, JHS are the critical areas where teenage pregnancy occurs and most cases hardship conditions exist. ” The JHS students are from time to time given folic acid and students are being advice to eat before taking such drugs and sometimes they feel unhappy” He hinted. BEKWAI MCE TOURS SOME COMMUNITIES IN BEKWAI MUNICIPALITY The MCE for Bekwai Municipality Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour embarked on a familiarization tour to some communities within his jurisdiction. Some of the communities visited are Amanhyia, Sunkyerekrom, Atuogyabie, Afransie, Kwabena nkwanta among others. He started his tour 4 days before Easter and continued through the Easter festivities. Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour says his aim of embarking on this tour was to gather “first hand” information on the problems of his people so he can take the necessary action to help solve them and also to thank his people for their support. Most of the problems identified throughout the tour are similar and includes road, drinking water, electricity, classroom blocks and school feeding. In some communities it was reported that the cocoa spraying chemicals they get are not enough and needs more spraying gangs Hon.
