“I Don’t Own £9.3 Million Building In London” – Akufo Addo’s daughter slams critics

My attention has been drawn to a story published by the website “https://ift.tt/2wI6MEq; titled “Real Estate Collections: London’s Property Market receives it’s new top customer, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo from Ghana at a whopping £9.3m”. This publication is nothing but an outright lie and a total fabrication. I do not own any properties in London or in any part of the world, let alone own a “5 bed Edwardian palatial” building, valued at £9.3 million mansion. It is important to state that this website, purposely built forpublishing falsehoods, is the same website that indicated recently that my father, President Akufo-Addo, was bringing a bill to Parliament to legalise same-sex marriage- another fabrication. Obviously the strategy by political opponents is to bandy more of such baseless stories and falsehoods around, employing the use of fake websites, with the aim of creating disaffection for the President and his administration. I urge the good people of Ghana to ignore this and other...

“I Am Saddened By Nepotism In NPP Government” – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his disappointment in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for promoting nepotism in its administration. Delivering his speech at the maiden National Conference of Ex-MMDCES on Saturday, May 12, 2018, Mr. Mahama stated that the failure of the NPP government to create equal opportunities for all Ghanaians destroys the spirit ofoneness. “One of the things that I feel sad about is a certain tendency that is destroying the spirit of national integration and unity. We might belong to different political parties but we are Ghanaians first and foremost, and the opportunities of this country should open up to all Ghanaians. “This is why President Mills had the mantra ‘father for all’.It meant that he was president of all Ghanaians and so allGhanaians should enjoy all opportunities. During our administration, we as much as possible ensured that the opportunities were open to everybody. So NDC businessmen were working, NPP businessmen we...

NPP Has Failed Ghanaians – NDC’s YoungProfessionals

The Young Professionals (YP), a pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) group, has pointed out the failures in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. At a press conference in Accra, Wednesday to rate the Akufo-Addo administration, the group accused government of going contrary to its promise of providing jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the country. According to the Young Professionals, instead of creating employment, the NPP rather uprooted workers from their position, whom they believed were in a way associated to the NDC and replaced them with their party loyalists. Thenticked the act as ‘creating employment’. The group described the aforementioned acts as a ‘replacement’ instead of the job creation agenda the NPP promised Ghanaians during the 2016 campaign. They cited the rise of hooligans after the 2016 election by the NPP Invincible Forces, who reportedly took over toll booths and assaulted officers of the National Health Insurance Scheme, “sacked them from the offi...

“You did not heed to Mahama’s advice and Voted For Akufo-Addo” – Anita Desoso To Angry Nurses

National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso has blamed the current unemployment status of nurses and health professionals on their hasty decision to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power. President Akufo-Addo, as part of his 2016 campaign message, assured nurses across the country of the full restoration of their allowances if he is voted into power. According to him, the training of more healthcare and education professionals was of the utmost importance, hence the need to restore the allowances. The health professionals who bought into the campaign message now seem to have their hopes dashed as they continue in the fight against delayed financial clearance for employment. However, Madam Desoso maintained that the agitated health professionals should have given it a thorough thought before voting for the NPP while claiming the NDC had good intentions for them. She explained that in a bid to find a way to solve the issue of Doctors goi...

Asiedu Nketia under fire over ‘Gay’ comment

Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin has told NDC General Secretary Asiedu Nketia to learn that Ghanaians cannot be deceived by the politics of lies, deceit and acrimonious propaganda. This follows the immature comments made by Asiedu Nketia at an elementally shambolic “Unity Walk” event in Kumasi that President Akufo-Addo has legalized same sex marriage in Ghana. Contained in a timely statement issued from the Presidency, Director of Communications Eugene Arhin told Asiedu Nketia to wean himself of the childish perception that Ghanaians are ignorant and would swallow whatever falsehood he spews. “We will neither ask for an apology nor a retraction from the NDC General Secretary, who obviously, is still stuck in the age of politics of lies, deceit and propaganda, which was rejected decisively by discerning Ghanaians in the 2016 general elections.” The statement said. Eugene Arhin also stated that Asiedu Nketia’s comments were nothing but a baseless and vile fa...

(Full Text) Prez Akufo-Addo’s Speech At LSE

Chairperson, I thank the organisers for the invitation to come here and participate in this summit. In the short period since I assumed the high office of President of the Republic of Ghana, I will have had the good fortune to address audiences in the three most celebrated institutions of higher learning in this country. The first was at Cambridge University on 20th November, 2017, where I spoke on “Democracy and Development”. The second is today at the London School of Economics (LSE), where I will be speaking on “Africa At Work: Educated, Employed and Empowered.” The third, the icing on the cake, will be when I speak on 11th May at Oxford University. I am, indeed, fortunate. This place, the London School of Economics, was founded by one of the most remarkable couples of British history – Beatrice and Sidney Webb – who devoted their lives to the betterment of society. Great social reformers, they were leading elements in the massive mobilisation ofthe early 20th century that brought ...

Military Deal: US Army Can Overthrow Akufo Addo– Okudzeto

Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel OkudzetoAblakwa remains resilient in his protest against the controversial US-Ghana military agreement which he believes poses great danger to the sovereignty of Ghana and the safety of all its citizens. The deal he says provides room for the United States to overstep their boundaries and attack Ghana’s presidency if they will. Speaking at a public forum organized by the Ghana First Patriotic Front (GFPF) at the University of Ghana in Accra, Mr. Ablakwa argued that the Vienna Convention, an international treaty that defines a framework for diplomatic relations between independent countries can clearly be violated by the US in this case since the agreement seeks to essentially give Ghana’s sovereignty into their hands. The seat of government, per the terms enshrined in the agreement he says, can be attacked and the President overthrown while Ghanaians are left powerless and with very little to do. “This is the Vienna Convention, guiding a...
