The Global Aid for the marginalized under the Ghana literacy entrepreneurial and industrialization program for persons with disabilities (PWDs) project in partnership with Center For Employment Of Persons With Disabilities have embarked on a sensitization program for the people with disabilities. This project was launched in 2015 to train persons with disabilities in Basic English and Mathematics for business and the program is aimed to make persons with disabilities self-sufficient and independent in order to wipe out the idea of them being economic burden to the society. Another side of the program is entrepreneurial and industrial training where PWDs are given skills in various activities such as rubber cutting ,wreath making, liquid soap making etc. Under this program, trainers would be called to give them training after which there would be persistent follow ups. Grandmother, Christiana James has been arrested by the Cross River State police command for brutalizing her three orphaned grandchildren over witchcraft accusation. According to CrossRiverWatch, the Program Manager of Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, a Calabar-based NGO that rescued the children, Kebe Ikpi, said the children aged 2, 5 and 13 years old stay with their grandmother Christiana who brutalized them with the assistance of a man identified as Nsikak,currently on the run Further revealing details of the story, Ikpi said that the children were forced to hawk sachet water to feed, and that the grandmother on that particular day, invited Nsikak to help torture the children to confess to the witchcraft accusation. Tributes have been pouring in for one of East Africa’s most popular musicians, Mowzey Radio, who has died aged 33 after a reported bar brawl. Radio, real name Moses Ssekibogo, died just hours after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni donated $8,300 (£5,800) towards his medical bills. The Afrobeats star was being treated in hospital for head injuries he sustained in the alleged brawl 10 days ago. Five people have been arrested in connection with the incident so far. According to  Uganda’s Daily Monitor newspaper , the singer was allegedly beaten into a coma at a popular hang out spot in Entebbe town, south of the capital Kampala. He had been in hospital ever since, although his management had stressed his condition was improving.
