Former Ghana Youth Olympic gold medallist Martha Bissah has been adjudged Norfolk State University’sFemale Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row. Martha was honoured alongside some student athletes of the Norfolk State University at the Spartan Choice Awards held on Monday night. She made history by becoming the first Norfolk State runner to win a conference cross country title in 16 years.Bissah won the MEAC cross country title in October 2017 running a record 17 minutes, 16 seconds. She followed that by being named the MEAC Indoor Most Outstanding Women’s Runner for the second year in a row after winning four golds in February.Outdoors, she is ranked 10th in the NCAA East Region in the 800. Ghana’s sole representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Aduana Stars, will this morning (11:30 GMT) face Fosa Juniors of Madagascar in the second leg of the playoffs at Stade Alexandre Rabemananjara (Mahajanga). Aduana in the first leg won by  6-1 at the Dormaa Park. The winner of the two legs qualifies to the group phase of the competition.
