Just 24 hours after a presumably great wedding, a bride was reportedly doused with acid. According to reports, she has been abandoned by her husband as a result of her looks. The authenticity of the story has not been verified, however, if it comes out to be true, then it’s really disappointing. Who could have done something callous to a newly wedded bride. The husband must have taken the wedding vow ‘for better for worst.

National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso has blamed the current unemployment status of nurses and health professionals on their hasty decision to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power. President Akufo-Addo, as part of his 2016 campaign message, assured nurses across the country of the full restoration of their allowances if he is voted into power. According to him, the training of more healthcare and education professionals was of the utmost importance, hence the need to restore the allowances. One of the world’s most famous astrophysicists Stephen Hawking passed away early this morning. He was 76. His scientific works include a collaboration with Roger Penrose on gravitational singularity theorems in the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, often called Hawking radiation. Hawking was the first to set out a theory of cosmology explained by a union of the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. He is a vigorous supporter of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. Hawking is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), a lifetime member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the US.
