At least 10 killed in 3 church explosions in Indonesia

Suspected suicide bombers struck three different churches in Indonesia on Sunday morning, killing at least seven people and injuring scores more, police say. Forty-one people — including two police officers — are in the hospital being treated for injuries following suspected terrorist attacks in Surabaya, a port city on the east coast of Java Island, East Java Police spokesman Frans Barung Mangera said. Earlier reports indicated at least 10 people died, but Head Gen. Tito Karnavian, Indonesia’s highest-ranking police official, told reporters seven victims were killed. The explosions targeted the Santa Maria Catholic Church, the Indonesian Christian Church and the Pentecost Central Church. St. Maria was the site of the first blast, which occurred at 7.30 a.m. local time Sunday (8.30 p.m. Saturday ET), before blasts at 7.35 a.m. and 8 a.m., state-run news agency Antara quoted him as saying.”Right now there are only three locations. TWO SUSPECTED HEAD SELLERS ARRESTE .Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested two suspects who attempted selling humans heads to a spiritualist at Barekese in the Atwima Nwabiagya District.The suspects: Akwasi Adu, 18; Attah Kanea, 20, were said to have come to one Mallam Baba at Barekese onSunday, 21 January, 2018 around 9:30 pm to sell the head to him, but were arrested.The Mallam, who feigned interest in buying the human head, asked the suspects to wait for him at his residence while he fetched the money outside to pay for the transaction.He returned home with police officers who arrested the suspects.The assembly member for Barekese Electoral Area, Prince Anane Amoateng, who confirmed the arrest toAdehye FM’s Elisha Adarkwah, said the suspects named eight accomplices as the real owners of the decapitated head.The police has launched a manhunt for the fugitive accomplices.The two suspects are currently in the custody of theSuame Divisional Police Command..
