B/A NPP Regional Chairman Urges Berekum West District Assembly Members To Unanimously Confirm The DCE Nominee

The B/A Regional NPP Chairman, Mr Thomas Adu Appiah has called on all the Assembly Members of the newly created Berekum West District to honour the President Nana Akufo Addo by voting tomorrow to confirm the president nominated DCE Hon. Isaac Osei to become the DCE for Berekum West District Assembly. According to the Regional Chairman together with the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie has resolved all issues with the assembly members that has been a hindrance to distract the man not being confirmed. He has talked with the assembly members to help bring unity among themselves and also asked them to think about the development the new district has to chalk. Double Track: GES to use phone calls to monitor students

The Ghana Education Service says it will adopt innovative means to monitor the performance of students who will be home while their colleagues are in school. Public Relations Officer, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, says the Service is also considering placing phone calls to the students to find out how they are coping and provide assistance where necessary. This would, however, happen after the candidates have successfully gone through the admission process and have been provided with some academic materials, Ms. Twum Ampofo told Super Morning Show host, Daniel Dadzie, Thursday. Some 423,134 candidates who sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and successfully made it under the 2018 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), have been placed into their choice of Senior High Schools. Prophet allegedly defiles 8-year-old girl

A prophet who gave his name as Pentecost Ewa Usang has been arrested in Calabar Municipal in Cross River State for defiling an 8-year-old girl. The Prophet said he is in charge of Christ Glorious Assembly in Calabar, Cross River State capital. He told DAILY POST at the Police Headquarters that it was temptation that lured him into the act. He disclosed this shortly after he was paraded by the commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Inuwa Hafiz. “I am here for the case of defilement; my name is Pentecost Ewa Usang, a prophet in Christ Glorious Assembly in Calabar. “It was temptation that was about to happen but I realised myself and came back to my senses and saw it and I held back myself, I didn’t do it. It wanted to happen but I didn’t permit it to happen. “I was very close to the girl and when it was about to happen, I came to my senses and I didn’t allow it to happen, the girl is from Cameroon,” he stated.
