His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has given families of the 7 Asawase Zongo men that some Kumasi Police Officers mistook for armed robbers and shot them dead GHC250,000 each as compensation for their lose. CORRUPTION HITS AIRPORT, AS TRAVELER COUNTS HIS LOSS.

Not one, not two but many times have we recorded several deals of corruption within public offices in the country including the famous Ghana Airport Company. The heart of a traveler by name Tanko Adams is bleeding to what he describes as bribery and corruption at the airport. Few weeks ago, the said name made a transit to Turkey from Italy to Ghana but one of his hand bags couldn’t arrive with him and therefore made a report but finally saw his bag days after and was asked to pay a sum of ghc500 to pick his bag. According to Mr Tanko who didn’t understand this questioned why that amount, which caused an arguement between him and a police woman who had her name on her crest turned. Attempts by some key members of the opposition National Democratic Congress to associate President Akufo-Addo’s name to any form of electoral malfeasance would fail to live up to expectation, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has said. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party who is mostly referred to as Chairman Wontumi, was reacting to allegations by the NDC that President Akufo-Addo intends manipulating election results to help him win a second term in office in the 2020 general elections. Osama Bin Laden’s Grandson Reported Dead.

The grandson of 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden has died, it has been claimed. The child, named Osama like his terrorist grandfather, was praised for his ‘martyrdom’ by father Hamza Bin Laden, who jihadis have hailed as the ‘heir’ to the leadership of al-Qaeda. A letter written by Hamza, whose father was shot dead by a US Navy Seal team in 2011, mourned the death of the ‘hero cub’ and described his eldest son as ‘the grandson of bravery’ – adding that he liked to play-act scenes of martyrdom. Armed robbers attacked the Lagos residence of comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, carting away N1m cash and 12 expensive wristwatches four of them cost N8 million) and some other properties. ‘No Corruption’, Says Italy Court, Acquits 2 Main Accused

NEW DELHI: An Italian court today let off the two main accused in a bribery scandal related to the contract for AgustaWestland VVIP choppers, signed when a Congress government was in power. Giuseppe Orsi and Bruno Spagnolini were acquitted by an appeals court that said there wasn’t sufficient proof of corruption. In a judgement read out in the Apellate court of Milan, the judge made a brief statement that said the two had been cleared of both charges – bribery and fraud accounting. Mr Orsi’s lawyer Ennio Amodio said the judge “found no evidence of corruption, of the passage of money or that Indian officials interfered with the tender”. The decision, he said, closed a case “which should have been clear to investigators (from the start)”. Mine workers dismissal: Goldfields reacts Media Reports

The management of Gold Fields Ghana has reacted to media reports that the company is getting ready to lay off about 1500 workers. The retrenchment is expected to affect most of its miners at the Tarkwa mine. The  report continued that the layoffs was to take effect in December, 2017. According to reports, 42-year-old Ashetu Igbasue and her son-in-law started their relationship in September 2017, when she relocated to Awe, Nasarawa to harvest her farm produce. Igbasue disclosed to Daily Trust that their relationship started at the farm but on getting home that night, they made love. This act continued daily till she became pregnant three months after. 42-year-old Igbasue said: “I agreed to his demand and thought it was just to satisfy his sexual feelings, but somehow, it became a daily thing. TV licence: GBC plans to deduct levies from public workers salaries at source GBC Director-General, Dr Annor Akufo Ntow The controversial television licence fee may be deducted from the salaries of public workers at source as the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) considers more ‘decent’ way of collection, it has emerged. According to the Ashanti Regional Director of the GBC, Mr Samuel Kwatia, the move to deduct the fee at the Controller and Accountant Generals Department (CAGD) would make it more convenient for public service workers.
