NPP COMMUNICATION TEAM FOR AWUTU SENYA EAST REBUTTS ILL COMMENTS MADE BY THE MINORITY LEADER IN PARLIAMENT, HARUNA IDDRISU ABOUT THE MINISTRY OF SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE.

The NPP Communication Team for the Awutu Senya East Constituency condemns the ill comments made by the Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu about the Ministry of Special Development Initiative. The Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu stated on the floor of Parliament yesterday that , he did not see the relevance of the Ministry of Special Development Initiative and as a result, the minority will not support the budget allocated to that Ministry. The Legislator ignorantly claimed that there is a conflicting role between the ministry in question and the Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs). He again wrongly asserted that the ministry is doing the work that the 3 Development Authorities (i.e. The Coastal, Middle Belt and Northern Development Authorities) are supposed to do. We the members of the NPP Communication Team in the constituency find his comments very offensive, exhibiting utter ignorance which is quite unfortunate especially coming from h...

GOVERNANCE REDUCED TO COMICS — ASPIRING SECRETARY

We have been inundated with so much disappointment following the events that have occurred ever since our President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo assumed the helms as the number one gentleman of this land. We very much remember, having been cured of our normal “Ghanaians have short memory” syndrome how then Candidate of the New Patriotic Party toured the entire country making all sort of promises and giving so much hope. Hope that brought drivers for change, nurses for change, teachers for change and even the infamous Kalypo craze that culminated in the win for the N.P.P. in the 2016 elections. Somehow after over 21 months of being in office we are seeing very little of the promises that we were told. A complete change of stands in almost every aspect of governance is what we are witnessing. The most touted policy (Free SHS) has not seen any proper implementation. It remains a fact that funding for this rather important policy still remains a mystery if not securely guarded in th...

GNUTS LAMENTS OVER LATE PAYMENT OF LOAN BY SLTF

The Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS) have learnt with dismay the slow trick adopted by managers of the Student Loan Trust Fund to deny legitimate applicants their due. GNUTS wishes to register our disappointment in SLTF for failing to release funds to Students to enable them to pay their school fees timely. To us, SLTF, for that reason Government has entered into a contractual agreement with some Tertiary students across the Country to provide them with repayable loans to enable them to pursue their undergraduate careers in Tertiary Institutions with strict terms and conditions. The Students having gone through the laborious task of satisfying the requirements for accessing the loan facility, it remains our considered opinion that SLTF sticks to the agreement, FAILING to do amounts to a breach of contract on the part of the Student Loan Trust Fund. What amazes us is the pretentious posture of SLTF as though they are oblivious to the plight of challenges facing their...

THE PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS The dying opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Suhum constituency upon seeing the speeding rate of development in the Municipality has left them to be picking and acting. No wonder they are confused with dates. The one year achievements chalked by the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah and the Assembly seems to be a heavy blow to the NDC in Suhum as their eight years in power has no good story to tell to the people in the constituency. The exercise conducted by the “Suhum Development Agenda” identifying the developmental projects within the past one year was not done in a vacuum and for that matter extended consultation was considered both from the Assembly and the Commun...

28/04/2018 We the above mentioned group wish to register our displeasure and disappointment on government decision to employ we the health professionals under the Nation builders Corps(NABCO). We the unemployed Nurses have unanimously kicked this half cooked policy by this government into the gutters which seeks to engage us for a period of three years on contract basis. We have gone through series of rigorous training, ethically, physically, psychologically and licensed to practice as qualified Nurses. The policy is not only irritating and repulsive but it is an attempt to hoodwink Ghanaians and to throw dust into the eyes of the masses for the purposes of scoring cheap political point. It will be of good to government to exempt us from this policy in its embryonic stage and go back to the drawing board to hasten our financial clearance. We further believe that this policy is not properly thought through and shows signs of general panic attack as a result of unprecedented number o...
