Education: 9-Unit teachers bungalow commission at Oborpah East in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality this afternoon commissioned a newly completed 9-Unit teachers bungalow at Oborpah East to help improve the standard of living of the teachers in that community. The commissioning ceremony at the middle belt was witnessed by the elders of the Oborpah East community, Officers from the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal education Directorate, Officers from YOWE and the general public as they gathered for the short ceremony. The contractor handed over the keys of the New building to Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh as the Hon. MCE immediately handed over the keys to the Rep from the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal education Directorate to give it to their teachers in the area for use. Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh advised the teachers to take good care of the new building as he is seriously working to connect the Oborpah East community among the other communities in the middle belt on to the national electricity grid. A man has shocked the world with his act of bestiality after he was found out to have killed and had s*x with a dog. A 22-year-old man from Bolgatanga,but lives in Nyame Tsiase In the Western Region of Ghana , has been caught red-handed by locals having s*x with the carcass of a pregnant dog. The man was caught in a near-by bush on Monday 17th Dec,2018. Bestnewsghana.com reports that the offender confessed to have killed and then had s*x with the canine along with another man. At 7 am on Monday , a resident of Nyame Tsiase saw Yusif Banda having s*x with the carcass of the dog in the bushes of an open plot. I write for and on behalf of the Ghana National Union of Technical students in a notice and petition over the mass wanton arrest and brutalities visited on some students of the Koforidua Technical University on Friday 14 December 2018 at the Universal Hall of the University by some Police Officers of the Eastern Regional Command led by DSP Kartey Otumi, officer in-charge of operations in the region. That about 4:00 AM in the wee hours on Friday, a fully armed officers of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) numbering about sixty (60) were supervised to invade Universal Hostel, one of the University’s accommodation facilities without recourse to management of the University. EDUOSIA RESIDENTS CRIES FOR HELP AS COMMUNITY SHARE WATER WITH ANIMALS

Residents of Breman Eduosia in the Asikuma- Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central region, are pleading on philanthropist, NGO’s and government to come into their aid as a matter of urgency, as the community share water with animals after the borehole available developed fault a year ago. According to some residents of the community who spoke to Nkwa News, water born diseases have become a major challenge in the community as a result of the situation hence the call for urgent support. During the interview, some residents raised concern as to why the borehole which was sold to the resident can not be repared with the same water proceeds. Reacting to the issue, the water committee chairman of Breman Eduosia, Kwadwo Amoh, explained that, they have spent all the proceeds they acquired from the sale of the water for repairs but to no avail, hence call for support. HEALTH CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO DEAL WITH ORAL DISEASES IN ASIKUMA

A mega health screening program has been held in Breman Asikuma to deal with oral diseases like toothache, decay and other diseases that, usually affects the tooth. The program which was organized by Our Lady of Grace Hospital in collaboration with Uniliver company LTD in Breman Asikuma, saw about one thousand people including school children, farmers and traders participating in the program. Oral diseases are the most common noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and affect people throughout their lifetime, causing pain, discomfort, disfigurement and even death. The Global Burden of Disease 2016 Study published on WHO website estimated that, oral diseases affected half of the world’s population (3.58 billion people) with dental caries (tooth decay) in permanent teeth being the most prevalent condition assessed.
