88-year-old man dies a day after graduating from school

An 88-year-old man has passed away just a day after graduating from Salvation Ministries Bible School in Rivers State, shepherded by pastor David Ibiyeomie. According to a Facebook user who broke the news, the 88-year-old man made calls through to his children to check on them, almost as if he knew his time was up. He will be buried on Saturday the 12th of May 2018. Oraye St. Franklyn shared the news on Facebook. He wrote: “THE LAST DON DROPS THE MIC LIKE A REAL SUPERSTAR It’s not every day you find a man prepare himself for the glorious life hereafter. Russia To Offer Ghana Modern Helicopters Soon

Colonel Nikolay Pavlov, the Armed Forces Attache at the Russian Embassy in Ghana, has said Ghana would receive some up-to-date helicopters from the Russian Government. He said the consignment was part of a wide programme to equip the Ghana National Defence Force in enhancing its capability to protect its airspace, land and territorial waters. Col. Pavlov said this at a ceremony to mark the 100th Anniversary of Russia’s Motherland Defenders’ Day, at the residence of the Ambassador, Mr Dimitry Suslov, in Accra. He said Russia would also broaden the operational capabilities of the Ghana Army to expand their participation in peacekeeping missions of the United Nations worldwide. Miss Ghana 2017 – Margaret Derry Mwintuur Margaret Derry Mwintuur has been awarded the prestigious title of Miss Ghana 2017 in a gliterring ceremony last weekend. Marigold Frimpong and Priscilla Nana Akua Gameli comes in as 2nd runner and 1st runner ups respectively. Margaret will now represent Ghana at Miss World 2018. She will succeed Aphua Akrofi as Miss World Ghana. Aphua was 1st runner-up in Miss Ghana 2015 and has been handpicked to represent Ghana at Miss World 2017 in China next month. The decision was made so as to give the new winner more time to prepare for what will be the most important competition of her life.
