GA SOUTH MCE IS OUR PARTNER IN DEV’T AND NOTHING MORE-TRADITIONAL LEADER The head of Nii Ade Mkpa family in the Greater Accra Region, Daniel Nii Tagoe has debunked the allegation that he is using landguards to bully people at Tuba in the Ga South Municipal because of his strong relationship with the Ga South Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Joseph Nyani Mr Daniel Nii Tagoe asserted that the Ga South MCE is his partner in socioeconomic development and nothing more. He emphasized that neither he nor a member in the royal family is in bed with the MCE. “We have not engaged land guards to intimidate people, the land is for us so what is the essence of engaging landguards”, he said. He hinted that he is anti landguard and will cooperate with the security service and the government to fight against landguards. Transport fares to go up this week – GPRTU confirms Transport fares are likely to go up by the close of this week, that’s coming from the Ghana private roads transport union. Earlier this month, the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) announced a possible increase in fares due to increment in the prices of spare parts. The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association however denied any price increase of their products. But the GPRTU insists prices of vehicle spare parts have gone up in recent times, hence the need to adjust transport fares. Speaking to otecnews General Secretary of the GPRTU, Issah Khalifa says the union is likely to announce new fares by the end of the week, depending on the level of consultations with the various stakeholders “Fares review will happen within the week, but I cannot speculate by what margin or what percentage it’s going to be increased…we are going to look at all the variables before we decide.” He underscored that there is a committee th...

Paige Appears on Raw But Officially Ruled out for Royal Rumble

P aige did not walk out on Raw in street clothes. With reports running hot for the past three days that Paige’s in-ring career was over due to a neck injury, the leader of Absolution appeared on Raw tonight. In support of Sonya Deville in her match versus Sasha Banks, Paige did not get physically involved in the bout while working outside the ring. During the telecast, Tom Phillips announced that Paige would not compete in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble on Jan. 28. “As reported during tonight’s Monday Night Raw broadcast, Paige will not compete in this year’s historic 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match due to a neck injury.”, as reported by WWE.
