The Leadership and Representatives of Muslims in the Municipality led by Chief Adamu Issah (aka kongoro) yesterday 18th July, paid a courtesy call to the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah at her office. Their visit was to express their profound gratitude to the Assembly and the Hon MCE for their immense support extended to the Zongo Communities since the Hon MCE was sworn into office. According to them, the Suhum Municipal Assembly under the leadership of Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwah has really done what Napoleon couldn’t do. The donation of food items during the Ramadan Mubarak was described as an unprecedented gesture in the history of their time. Their appreciation was extended to the humanitarian nature of the Hon MCE. Her urgent tackling of problems in the Municipality was commended. In a heated showdown, mandatory challenger Isaac Dogboe (19-0, 11 KOs) recovered from an early knockdown to score three of his own to stop Jessie Magdaleno (25-1, 18 KOs) for the WBO super bantamweight title. A 21-year old student of the Ejisuman Senior High School (SHS) in the Ashanti Region has disclosed that she and her schoolmates mostly engage in sexual bouts with their teachers in order to pay their fees. According to the student whose name is withheld, majority of the female students are faced with financial constraints hence the teachers and the Assistant head prey on them. Making the damning revelation on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, she explained that the teachers have been feasting on them sexually on daily basis. She indicated that the teachers threaten to sack or fail them during exams if they refuse to satisfy their sexual pleasure saying they always succumb to their (teachers) pressures. The distressed student stated that some of the teachers after satisfying themselves fail to fulfil their part of the bargain citing her case where the teacher failed to give her the money after the sex.
