E/R: FAMILY ON THE RUN AS DEAD BODY APPEARS FROM A ROOM.

The family of Mr. Baakye Kwabena took on their heels when Mr. Baakye said to be dead woke up and came out of his room singing. Mr. Kwabena Baakyi suffered serious sickness and was taken from Bunso in the Eastern Region (his hometown) to a herbalist at Bonwire -Asonomaso in the Ashanti Region for treatment. He stayed there for some months with his wife and a sister for a while. According to a family member, Wɔfa Kwadwo, their 52years old Kwabena Baakyi was gaining health where they had a call from the priest that he has kicked the bucket. “With gnash and grief, we contributed to hire ambulance to convey the body to from Asante Bonwire to Osino Morgue in order to plan for the Burrier”. The woman who seems ‘untouchable’ in the New PatrioticParty (NPP) says she has no regret for her attack on a journalist at her party’s headquarters last Friday. Hajia Fati who has been nicknamed the ‘Iron lady’ in the NPP told NEAT FM’smorning show host, Mc-Jerry Osei Agyemang that, her action is justifiable but out of respect for the media fraternity “I am sorry”. Hajia Fati reportedly punched a journalist from Accra based Adom FM, Ohemaa Sakyiwaa Ahwenepa at the NPP headquarters on Friday, but said she only took that action because the reporter had not sought her permissionbefore taking pictures of her, neither did she introduce herself as a journalist. IMF Releases $236m To Ghana In May

The IMF is likely to release an amount of two hundred andthirty-six million dollars ($236,000,000) to Ghana under the agreement with the Fund, by the first week of May thisyear. This comes on the heels of the IMF mission’s review of Ghana’s performance, last month (March). The facility will be the 5th and 6th disbursements under the economic support program. Officials say, this forms part of the highlights at this year’s spring meetings of the IMF/World Bank in Washington, DC. Under the programme, Ghana had to shove down its throat some bitter pills so as to maintain tight fiscal discipline, without sacrificing growth. The bail out programme has been extended to April 2019 ,from an initial deadline of April 2018, after the NPP government agreed to an extension of the program. The fund is giving the country over $918 million to support its current account which is necessary for stabilising the local currency and control the shocks in theeconomy.
