Fight Against HIV: AIDS Commission Introduces Test And Treat Policy

Ghana is now implementing the test and treat policy which is aimed at testing and treating persons diagnosed with HIV instantly at the health facility to ensure that all HIV persons are enrolled unto the antiretroviral medication treatment. The test and treat policy that became operational in 2017 would also help bridge the gap of missing people who testfor HIV positive at health facilities and centres but refuse to go back for follow-ups, and to start treatment immediately. The test and treat policy which also served as a guideline was to help officials to enrol people quickly onto the antiretroviral treatment. Ghana AIDS Commission (GAC) officials said that waiting period before putting on medication gave room for some persons diagnosed with the virus to either escape the treatment or go hiding and only come back with serious implications. The test and treat programme is said to help prevent new further infections and spread of the virus thereby saving lives of people. In the ca...

HOW TO BUILD YOUR SELF-CONFIDENCE

by: Counselor FENYI 1. Never walk with people who make you feel like a second-class person. Inferiority complex starts from the things we hear. Be careful of who and what you listen to. 2. Never walk, talk or dress to impress anybody. You may not have a sweet voice like *D. Cryme* but you can still succeed in music like *Sarkodie.* Just be yourself! 3. You don’t need everybody to like you before you succeed. You can become a president with just 50%+1 votes, don’t struggle to get 90% approval when 50%+1 can take you there. 4. Practice infront of people who can’t notice your mistakes. If you want to be a great preacher or speaker, you can start by speaking at “children gatherings” or “family and friends gathering”. The children can’t notice you are “shy and fumble”. And use the chance to work on yourself. 5. Never compete with anybody. Each person has his distinct talent, appreciate yours and love your life. 6. Stay in “preparation mode” till your time comes. Don’t rush it, just pr...

There were reports on several news portals to the effect that Nana Ama Mcbrown’s husband is been forced by the actress to stay in their marriage and also make appearances at events. But speaking to the reports, Maxwell indicated that the claims were because he hardly talks when they attend events. Akufo-Addo Running ‘Super Incompetent Family & Friends’ Gov’t – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has described the Akufo-Addo-led government as “super incompetent”. According to him, the president has “loaded” his government with his relatives and tries to justify his every decision, although he criticised same when in opposition. Speaking to supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the party’s Unity Walk in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Rgion on Saturday, 5 May 2018, Mr Mahama said: “One of the tags they put on us very successfully was that we were an incompetent government. I must say if you look at what this government has done so far in the one year three months, if that is what they call competence, I call it super incompetence, and, so, the government should be up and doing.“They are changing all the rules of the game. When we were in government, they said: ‘The size of government was too high, you must reduce the size of government’. Then when they come into government and they appoint 110 ministers, 998 [presidential] ...
