Veep Launches Mobile Money Interoperability Next Week

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is set to launch the mobile money interoperability system next week. This means it will be possible from next week to send mobile money from one mobile phone network to another seamlessly when the mobile money interoperability is launched. The launch to be performed by the Vice President will come as a major relief as sending money across networkshas been a major challenge to many. The mobile money interoperability is however only the first phase of a bigger project that will ensure that the public can also transfer funds from their bank accounts tomobile money networks as well as to e-zwich cards and vice versa in what is being termed the Financial Inclusion Triangle. Suhum Police arrest man for attempting to bribe Police The Suhum Police Command has arrested, Eric Grusah for attempting to bribe the Police to release a suspect who is in custody. The suspect was among a gang who attempted to steal electricity Transformer belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). Suspect Enoch Tetteh, 23, a mechanic apprentice was arrested by the Suhum Police Patrol team when the gang jumped off their Kia Pride vehicle with registration number GR 2672 -17 having been stopped by the patrol team. Other gang members managed to escape but Tetteh was arrested. Eric Grusah emerged from nowhere and attempted to bribe the Police to free the suspect but was also arrested by the Police. Items such as 3 rolls of coiled copper, screwdriver, a spinner and hacksaw were retrieved. A follow up to the transformer revealed that it had been tampered with.
