The B/A Regional NPP Chairman, Mr Thomas Adu Appiah has called on all the Assembly Members of the newly created Berekum West District to honour the President Nana Akufo Addo by voting tomorrow to confirm the president nominated DCE Hon. Isaac Osei to become the DCE for Berekum West District Assembly. According to the Regional Chairman together with the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie has resolved all issues with the assembly members that has been a hindrance to distract the man not being confirmed. He has talked with the assembly members to help bring unity among themselves and also asked them to think about the development the new district has to chalk. Armed Men attack police station and escape with seven inmates from cells. The Accra Regional Police command is on a manhunt for seven (7) suspects who escaped from the Kwabenya Police cells this dawn, Sunday 21st January, 2018 together with some armed men who facilitated their escape. In the process, one police officer sustained gunshot wound but unfortunately passed on whilst receiving treatment at the 37 military hospital. The details of suspects on the run are as follows, Chibuzor Akwabu a Nigerian 34, whilst Dickson Ofori 24,Edem Rockson 32, Prince Osei 27, Emmanuel Kotey 21, Kofi Darko 21, Attah Kwadwo 20 are all Ghanaians. Briefing the media, ASP Effia Tenge made it known that the police have commenced investigations into the matter and pursuing them with all deserves.
