We have been inundated with so much disappointment following the events that have occurred ever since our President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo assumed the helms as the number one gentleman of this land. We very much remember, having been cured of our normal “Ghanaians have short memory” syndrome how then Candidate of the New Patriotic Party toured the entire country making all sort of promises and giving so much hope. Hope that brought drivers for change, nurses for change, teachers for change and even the infamous Kalypo craze that culminated in the win for the N.P.P. in the 2016 elections. Somehow after over 21 months of being in office we are seeing very little of the promises that we were told. The Constituency Youth Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Ofinso South, Hon. Sumaila Zakari Abidal has advised government to as a matter of urgency go on to the negotiations table with the College of Education Teachers Association of Ghana(CETAG) to address the various concerns and demands over the Payment of their market premium, book and research allowance and stop lukewarm attitude and the attitude of “i don’t care”. Rape victim family wants police to prosecute suspect swiftly

The counsel and family of a suspected rape victim are calling on the Ghana Police Service to as a matter of urgency; begin the prosecution of a Yemen resident in Ghana Ould Mohamed Mahamoud, who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in Accra. The Counsel for the victim and the family, Justice Abdulai Esq of Crown Legal Bureau in a petition to the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, said the family has provided every information and cooperation to the police to enable them to carry out the prosecution, yet the CID is delaying the prosecution without any reason. The petition which was addressed to the Director-General of the CID on November 4, 2018, explained that “the family of our client (name withheld) informed us that sometime in December 2017, the victim was defiled by Ould Mohamed Mahamoud, 54, in West Legon in Accra”. “The issue was reported to the Kwabenya Police Station where a medical form was ...

Sod cut for the construction of a 2-Unit modern classroom block for the KG of Oborpah Djikiti M/A School.

It was another dream come true and a joyful day for the good people of Oborpah Djikiti as Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality today broke grounds for the construction of a 2-Unit modern classroom block with ancillary facilities for the KG of Oborpah Djikiti M/A School who had been studying in a dilapidated church building over the years. The project will be constructed by the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly under the leadership of Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in partnership with Pencil of Promise, a Non-governmental organisation with support from the Community. All key management members of the Municipal Assembly, NPP party executives, friends from the media as well as the general public gathered this afternoon to witness this remarkable day in the history of Oborpah Djikiti.
