We have been inundated with so much disappointment following the events that have occurred ever since our President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo assumed the helms as the number one gentleman of this land. We very much remember, having been cured of our normal “Ghanaians have short memory” syndrome how then Candidate of the New Patriotic Party toured the entire country making all sort of promises and giving so much hope. Hope that brought drivers for change, nurses for change, teachers for change and even the infamous Kalypo craze that culminated in the win for the N.P.P. in the 2016 elections. The counsel and family of a suspected rape victim are calling on the Ghana Police Service to as a matter of urgency; begin the prosecution of a Yemen resident in Ghana Ould Mohamed Mahamoud, who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in Accra. The Counsel for the victim and the family, Justice Abdulai Esq of Crown Legal Bureau in a petition to the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, said the family has provided every information and cooperation to the police to enable them to carry out the prosecution, yet the CID is delaying the prosecution without any reason. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality today broke grounds for the construction of a 2-Unit modern classroom block with ancillary facilities for the KG of Oborpah Djikiti M/A School who had been studying in a dilapidated church building over the years.
