08-05-2018 Press Release NPP condemns attack on journalist The NPP has noted with concern an alleged attack on a journalist by one of its supporters, Hajia Fati. We distance ourselves from the act and condemn it unreservedly. The party wishes to assure Ghanaian journalists that, it respects and cherishes the role of the media as partners in development and does not condone any action intended to suppress press freedom. No journalist should feel intimidated and must continue to discharge his/her duties without fear. Asantehene Blesses John Boadu For NPP Gen Sec​

The King of Asanteman, His Royal Highness Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has extended his royal benedictions and blessings to the National Organizer and Acting General Secretary of the governing NPP, John Boadu for his outstanding contribution not only to the cause of his partyand government but to the development of Ghana at large. He recounted the leading role played by John Boadu to bring sanity to the NPP when the party was facing crisis inthe run-up to the 2016 elections and ensuring that the party won the polls. His Royal Highness also made an instructive statement tothe effect that the Assins, John Boadu’s ethnic orientation,originated from Asanteman, precisely Amakom, Kumasi from where they moved to their current settlement in the Central Region. APRIL 30, 2018 *PRESS CONFERENCE ADDRESSED BY JOHN BOADU, THE ACTING GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE NPP ON THE PARTY’S UPCOMING NATIONAL ANNUAL DELEGATES CONFERENCE* Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the Press We have invited you here primarily to spell out the GUIDELINES for the conduct of the party’s forthcoming National Annual Delegates Conference scheduled to come off in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital from 15th to 17th June, 2018. The conference shall, among other things, elect National Officers who would steer the affairs of the party for the next four years. This National Annual Delegates Conference is being held pursuant to Article 10(2) & (3) of the Party’s Constitution, which provides that the National Annual Delegates Conference be held at least four (4) weeks after the last Regional Annual Delegates Conference.
