“You did not heed to Mahama’s advice and Voted For Akufo-Addo” – Anita Desoso To Angry Nurses

National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso has blamed the current unemployment status of nurses and health professionals on their hasty decision to vote the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power. President Akufo-Addo, as part of his 2016 campaign message, assured nurses across the country of the full restoration of their allowances if he is voted into power. According to him, the training of more healthcare and education professionals was of the utmost importance, hence the need to restore the allowances. The health professionals who bought into the campaign message now seem to have their hopes dashed as they continue in the fight against delayed financial clearance for employment. The woman who seems ‘untouchable’ in the New PatrioticParty (NPP) says she has no regret for her attack on a journalist at her party’s headquarters last Friday. Hajia Fati who has been nicknamed the ‘Iron lady’ in the NPP told NEAT FM’smorning show host, Mc-Jerry Osei Agyemang that, her action is justifiable but out of respect for the media fraternity “I am sorry”. Hajia Fati reportedly punched a journalist from Accra based Adom FM, Ohemaa Sakyiwaa Ahwenepa at the NPP headquarters on Friday, but said she only took that action because the reporter had not sought her permissionbefore taking pictures of her, neither did she introduce herself as a journalist. Ghanaian students will benefit from a special scholarship offer from the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation to study in China. Under a cultural exchange arrangement, another set of beneficiaries will also visit China early next year . Some Chinese students will also be visiting Ghana around the same period.
