KWAHU OBOMENG CONFERRED CLEANEST IN GHANA
Krobea Asante executive coordinator for Drink Safe Water Advocacy Group, the anti – water and environmental pollution group has today conferred KWAHU Obomeng cleanest town in Ghana.
This was after the group paid a courtesy visit to the town in the quest to help a clean up dubbed “onaapo clean up”.
On Thursday, Drink Safe Water Advocacy Group and it’s Executives including the Coordinator, Krobea Asante Tofepa Ntomentwene, a former morning show host at Rite FM in Somanya and a journalist at Power Africa Multimedia.
Earlier today, the group who had announced the clean up exercise said, they were astonished to see no waste especially pure water rubbers and polythene in the streets.
However, they engaged people in the community to work around their durbar grounds and markets.
In an interview with some inhabitants, they said the Chief of Obomeng, Nana Effah Opinamang III, and elders including the DCE, Hon. Emmanuel Ofori Attah (Mpraeso constituency) are anti – pollution and filth makers, hence have constantly warned filth making and punish offenders and those who refuse to attend communal labour when invited.
“Elder Fred Amui Tei, Ambassador of DSWAG who joined the team, said the conferment is perfect and undoubted, justifiable by the clean refuse dump in the town.
Nana Effah Opinamang III, said he is happy for the new position of the town and has pledged to defend it anytime any day by constantly engaging members of the community on communal labour.
Executive Coordinator of DSWAG, Mr. Krobea Asante has challenged any town or community who doubt the conferment of Kwahu Obomeng as Cleanest town in Ghana to prove the otherwise.
