4 students of Gyaama Pensan SHS injured in demo against headmaster​

Academic activities have come to a halt at the Gyaama Pensan Senior High Technical School in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region, following disturbances by students. Four of the students are currently responding to treatment at the Aboaso Government Hospital after they sustained injuries in the course of the riot.

The angry students are protesting against the headmaster of the school, whom they say has prevented them from partaking in extra curricula activities such as inter-school sports competition, quizzes and entertainment.

The students have vandalized school properties including the vehicle of the headmaster and his apartment. Police officers have been dispatched to the school to maintain law and order, whiles some worried parents are trooping to the school.

Former president Jerry John Rawlings has said one man’s recklessness in unmasking and threatening harm against Ahmed Hussein-Suale is largely to be blamed for the assassination of the undercover journalist.
