PROFILE
His name is Fred Amankwa-Sarfo, a card bearing member of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana and a member of the National Patrons of the party. He is aspiring to contest and win the National Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party in the 2018 delegates congress.

He is motivated by the need to reform the party to suit the rapidly changing political dispensation with technology and innovation of the 21st century. He is a product of University of Ghana and Ghana Secondary School.

He holds BSc Business Admin, (HRM) and an MBA in Management of Information System.
Currently the President of the Federation of African Doctoral Researchers and Acting National President of the Doctoral Researchers of Ghana and a member of the Judicial Council of Graduates Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG).

He is also an interpretivist researcher currently studying the challenges in the development and deployment of mobile services for the development of Africa and Director of Operations and Business Development at (MTI Ghana Ltd) A Telecommunications and Infrastructure Development Consultancy.

He doubles as the Executive Director of ASAD LINK LTD, a Civil and Electrical Development, Maintenance and Services Company in Ghana.

Mr Fred was the Head of Business Development at the Ghana India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT. In 2009, after NPP lost the 2008 elections, and was relieved of his position ostensibly because of his political affiliation even though that position was non-political.

A petition he sent to the then minister of communication, directed that he should be reinstated until his petition is heard by a committee.

The minister’s position changed after he realized he is a member of the NPP.

In 2007, he contested and won the polling station executive (secretary) position in Werenkyiren Amanfrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana and in the 2014 National delegates congress in Tamale, he contested the First Vice Chairmanship position but loss.

Nevertheless, he performed and contributed to the party in so many ways which helped secured victory for the party in the 2016 general elections.

Former president Jerry John Rawlings has said one man’s recklessness in unmasking and threatening harm against Ahmed Hussein-Suale is largely to be blamed for the assassination of the undercover journalist.
