The 7member committee set up by the MCE of Techiman Hon John Donyina has presented their report to him at it office
The Chairman of the Michael Ato Korsah Committee :DO 2 Michael Ato Korsah the Assistant Fire Safety officer of the GNFS formerly Techiman Municipal Fire Commander presenting the 208 page report to the MCE said the factors that led to the collapse of no 1 3 story building which occurred on Wednesday 28/06/17 was attributed to poor workmanship, uneven concrete mix, adherence to speciation, not following due process, private individuals took opportunity during transition period after election to engage illegal acquisition of properties in the market hence has recommended for a massive decongestion exercise at the market and surcharge some officials whose negligence led to the collapse.

The MCE of Techiman Hon John Donyina was happy about the committees report and will implement all recommendations.

At least 10 people have sustained severe bodily burns following a gas explosion that occurred on Tuesday morning at Trinity Gas Stations in Krokrom in the in Kumasi Metropolis. Court remands 42 year old for possession of firearm

The accused whose plea was not taken, would reappear on March 8.He said on February 7, at about 12:30pm, complainant saw the accused person at Kwame Nkrumah Circle wearing a military vest with military muffler tied around his neck, a black trousers and holding a military bag together with a walkie talkie.   He said the suspect told the complainant that he was a Warrant Officer with the rank of Class One and stationed at Burma Camp but the complainant was not convinced with his answer and collected the military bag from him.   The accused was arrested with the assistance of two police officers and sent to a police station.
