Ebony’s final rites ongoing.
Late award-winning dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng will be buried today 24 March 2018.
The funeral service will be held at the forecourt of the state house in Accra.
Ebony died at age 21 in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road while returning to Accra from Sunyani on Thursday, 8 February 2018.
Her childhood friend and Personal Assistant, Franky Kuri and one Air Force official, Francis Atsu Vondee, who posed as a bodyguard also died in the car crash.
Musicians, music producers as well as industry players are expected to attend the funeral.
Ebony also known as the 90s bad girl, was discovered by renowned musician Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame when she sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his Rufftown record label just a day after listening to the recording.
Ebony came out with her first single, “Dancefloor”, in December 2015. The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards. In March 2016, Ebony released her major hit single “Kupe”.
Her songs Maame Hwe, Hussle, Poison, Kokonsa Police and a lot more is enjoying massive airplay across the country.
