WWE Signs Spanish Rights Deal

Spanish free-to-air sports channel Gol has signed a rights partnership with US wrestling organisation WWE.

Gol will offer weekly WWE highlights shows Bottom Line, Afterburn and Experience. The length of the deal was not disclosed.

From tomorrow (Saturday), Bottom Line will be shown every Saturday, Afterburn will be broadcast every Sunday and Experience will be available every Monday. All shows will feature Spanish commentary.

The highlights programmes will also be available on Gol’s TV Everywhere platform for authenticated subscribers and on its seven-day, video-on-demand catch-up window.

At least 10 people have sustained severe bodily burns following a gas explosion that occurred on Tuesday morning at Trinity Gas Stations in Krokrom in the in Kumasi Metropolis. Former president Jerry John Rawlings has said one man’s recklessness in unmasking and threatening harm against Ahmed Hussein-Suale is largely to be blamed for the assassination of the undercover journalist.
