The Overwhelming Development in SUHUM within just one year dazes the NDC – SUHUM MCE’s Outfit

The outfit of the MCE for Suhum, has today May 22nd, made a press statement in reference to a release made by a group called Concern Citizens in Suhum accusing her of stealing and destroying developmental projects done by the previous government.

THE PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS

The dying opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Suhum constituency upon seeing the speeding rate of development in the Municipality has left them to be picking and acting. No wonder they are confused with dates.

The one year achievements chalked by the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah and the Assembly seems to be a heavy blow to the NDC in Suhum as their eight years in power has no good story to tell to the people in the constituency.

The exercise conducted by the “Suhum Development Agenda” identifying the developmental projects within the past one year was not done in a vacuum and for that matter extended consultation was considered both from the Assembly and the Community before it’s release.

SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

The Suhum Abisim school building project was initiated and started by one Ms Chari Anne, a Philanthropist from the United States of America under Hon Fletcher kwabi’s regime. Money sent by the Philanthropist landed into the wrong hands of the Head teacher who the money, constructed up to less than 30% and vamoose with the rest of the money. This will never happen under this new administration headed by Hon Margaret Darko Darkwah.
The ten months administration of Hon Margaret Ansei never cough a word about this project and the retired head teacher walked a free man.

It could be recalled that an article with the lead “AND THE SUHUM MCE WEPT”. The article was written when the Philanthropist Ms Chari Anne and the Hon MCE visited the school and found out the true state of the school and the state of the project which has been fully funded by the philanthropist.

It was upon seeing the state of the school and the abandoned project that led the two broke into tears in the presence of the children and the media present. Representatives from Top FM, Thank You FM, Angel TV can attest to this.
The Hon MCE assured Ms Chari Anne and the community that in less than one year the innocent school children shall learn in a new classroom. Promise fulfilled and now the disappointed political party in Suhum instead of bowing down their heads in shame, has the nerves to lie though their teeth.

It’s sad the NDC in Suhum wants to claim credit on what they could not achieve within eight years when the NPP just needed only one year to achieve it. Of course the NDC in Suhum are dazed. They haven’t seen anything yet. When all projects which have commenced under this new Administration of the Municipality are completed, they shall be left with no other options than to hit their heads to the trees and rocks or pack all their belongings and leave Suhum constituency forever.
