All My Chiefs Are To Organize Clean Up In Their Respective Divisions – Paramount Chief.
Oklepeme Nuer Anorbaah Sasaraku II, Paramount chief of Yilo Krobo traditional area has charged the six divisions making up the Yilo Klo State to ensure they organize and execute clean ups in order to maintain healthy environments.
He announced this yesterday, as he opens up for the 5th exercise (today) Saturday 4th August, 2018.
It marks the 5th exercise of his monthly clean up dubbed “falefale peemi’ since inception and maiden in April, 2018.
According to Francis Tetteh Opai, executive secretary of the Oklepeme Foundation who is official sponsor of the clean up campaign which is observed with Kenkey and fish party, the initiative is to salvage the communities in Yilo from all forms of communicable and water -airborne diseases.
Today, the Paramount Chief is facilitating work to be carried out at Klo Agogo as it is reported that, the community is chocked with filth making it a threat to human and animal lives.
Klo Agogo community has reversed to its former state after Drink Safe Water Ghana advocated for the removal of a dumping site in the market some 9 months ago, executive coordinator of the group, Krobea Asante mentioned.
Even though major work will be done in Klo Agogo, it is expected that, all divisions observe and supervise work in their own area, the Paramount Chief hinted.
