Less privileged and orphans trained for free.

The members of the Ghana National Tailors and dressmakers Association in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality today observed a clean up exercise as part activities of the ‘Ghana Beye Yie’ initiative launch which is aim at training the less privileged and orphans in our societies for free.

The exercise which drawn-out both the Masters and apprentices in the fashion fraternity started with the cleaning of the Lassi Community Market to the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly before ending at the St. Martin de Porres Hospital, Agormanya.

Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality had the opportunity to address the designers at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly where he assured them of his maximum support to sustain this all important initiative which is aim at training the unemployed in his Municipality.

Our interaction with Mr. Emmanuel Matey-duku, Chairman of the Ghana National Tailors and dressmakers Association in the area, he hinted that in collaboration with their Major partner in the area, LEYLA images they will be donating some dresses and other items to 2 orphanages in the locality as part of the launching activities.
