The people of Agona in the ashanti region are leaving in grieve and fear as a tipper truck with a registration number GR 118 Q strikes down a sacred tree which was planted by okomfo anokye.

The people of agona are in black and red costumes because the pride of asanteman has fallen.

Speaking to nana owusu a royal said they have reported the incident to his royal majesty Otumfoc osei tutu and his sub chiefs because the tree is one of the prides and properties on the ashanti kingdom.

“The fetish priest of agona has to perform many rituals before the tree and the truck can be removed from the road” he stated
