Another bloody armed robbery attack has occurred at Kasoa Lamptey in the Ga south municipality of Accra yesterday, Thursday, July 19, 2018, which has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. According to the Assembly member of Amanfro electoral area, Hon. Kwakye Mensah disclosed that the deceased(name withheld) is between 35-40 years. The armed robbers were said to have attacked the victim on his way to the house after he closed from his mobile money work. The body of the deceased has been conveyed to the morgue by the Amanfro police while an investigation into the matter is ongoing. Another attack in which a 25-year old hairdresser was shot dead by armed robbers on the same day has left Kasoa residents living in fear. The hair-dresser, Ama Bonsuwaa, met her untimely death when she chanced on the robbers stealing from a nearby house. The Awutu Beraku District Police Command in the Central Region has arrested a 42-year old man, Kofi Gabriel, for pouring acid on his wife. Kofi Gabriel bolted after the incident but was arrested at his hideout in a cemetery. Residents explained that Kofi Gabriel poured the acid on the wife out of jealousy. They said the wife had threatened to quit the marriage because of skirmishes in the marriage, but Kofi Gabriel, who would not let her leave the marriage, poured the acid on her in the process. Confirming the incident to PrimeNewsGhana, the Awutu Beraku District Police Commander, DSP Johnson Hessey, said they arrested the suspect, Kofi Gabriel, at a cemetery and is currently in the police custody. A 94-year-old man from Ossen in Baringo North got baptized with 5000 liters of boiled water in Kenya The rare baptism took place at the Ossen AIC church and was presided over by  Rev Elijah Katya.   According to the Rev, they were forced to boil the water for baptism due to cold weather and the age of the frail old man. He said it took them two hours to boil the more than 5000 liters of water using firewood and also electric heaters.   Before the baptism took place, they waited for the water to get warm before the man named  William ‘Dr. Kahawa’ Chesang  got baptized as it has always been a childhood dream.   Speaking after the Baptism, his daughter  Lilian Ruto  said:”Even the cold weather didn’t deter him from getting into the water. A 36-year-old teacher, Isaac Bentum, has been arrested by the Kasoa Police in Ghana for allegedly impregnating two Junior High School pupils who are of the same parents. The victims are in JHS 2 and 3 respectively at the same school in Senya Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, reports Citi Newsroom. Speaking in an interview, the uncle of the victims, Mr. Barnabas Abban, said the teacher defiled the final year JHS 3 pupil, and impregnated her, and did the same a month later to the younger sister. Abban said he reported the matter to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit Department of the Kasoa Divisional Police Command and the teacher was arrested. Abban said the teacher lured the girls with the promise of helping them to pass their final year examination. ASP Florence Annaman, the Kasoa Divisional Commander of DOVVSU, confirmed the case to the Ghana News Agency and said the accused was yet to be processed for court.
